AI is making it faster to generate routes, resize assets, explore language and produce variations. That changes the economics of brand production, particularly where teams spend large amounts of time adapting established work.
It does not remove the need for a point of view. If anything, faster output makes strategic selection more important because teams can now create more options than they can meaningfully evaluate.
Direction becomes the scarce skill
The brand function increasingly needs people who can define constraints, judge quality, understand risk and connect creative decisions to a wider commercial idea. Tools can accelerate exploration; they do not decide which territory a business should own.
The practical shift is from making every asset manually to designing the system, prompts, standards and review loops that shape what gets made.
